4th Education Camp, Purulia
Objective: To install two computers at two hostels in Purulia area, organise quiz and games sessions and raksha bandhan. Camps like these give the urban youth a chance to get a 1st hand experience of tribal life & an opportunity to make a change in their lives ! Travel itinerary: 20th August (Saturday) - Leave Howrah station at 6 am for Purulia by train. From Purulia station proceed by car to Bagmundi boys hostel. Night halt at Bagmundi boys hostel. Activities - Computer installation & interactive sessions with resident vanvasi boys - quiz, education, GK, computer, games, Raksha Bandhan etc. 21st August (Sunday) - Proceed to Kumari (girls) hostel, Purulia where another computer will be installed & similar activities as mentioned above will be conducted. Next, the team will visit Balrampur boys hostel, Purulia and finally board train for Howrah in afternoon from Purulia station. Expected arrival time at Howrah station is 9:15 pm.
