Purvanchal Kalyan Ashram team is organising the much awaited ' Vanjeevan ' !!!!
The ' Vanjeevan ' is a summer camp for school going children at a Kalyan Ashram Chatravaas (hostel). Full of exciting activities, games and excursions to nearby vanvasi villages, it gives the urban children a rare opportunity to gain insight into the rich vanvasi culture and way of life. It gives them a chance to interact and spend time with the vanvasis and participate in their activities.
And what's more, this time it is being organised at Kalyan Ashram's hostel in the pristine town of Kalimpong, ! An ideal getaway. This chatravaas, nestled among the beautiful forests of North Bengal is a golden retreat for nature lovers ! It will give the children a chance to spend some quality time amidst nature and a much required break from the hectic urban life !
Trip details :
- Duration : 5D/6N. Dates - dep 31st may night and arrival 6th june morning ex Kolkata.
- Location : Kalimpong chatravaas, North Bengal.
- Transport : night train to & from Kolkata to New Jalpaiguri and then by road.
- Activities : Trekking, playing tribal instruments, archery, interaction with vanvasi children, and much much more.....
- Participants eligibility : Only school going girls from classes 8 - 11
- Accompanied by : Senior, female Kalyan Ashram karyakartas and college going volunteers.
